Der Karneval in Köln neigt sich dem Ende entgegen, als ein als Priester verkleideter Arzt auf den Stufen der Kirche Sankt Pantaleon mit einem Schwert in der Brust ermordet aufgefunden wird. Die Kripo rund um Kommissar Manni Korzilius nimmt die Ermittlungen auf. Da geschieht ein weiterer Mord. Wieder auf der Treppe vor einer Kirche, nur diesmal ist der Priester echt. Hauptkommissarin Judith Krieger stoesst zu den Ermittlungen hinzu und die Ermittler vermuten einen Feind der katholischen Kirche und koennen auch keine Verbindung zwischen den beiden Mordopfern finden und stossen bei ihren Nachforschungen in der rheinischen Domstadt auf eine Mauer des Schweigens rund um Beicht- und Arztgeheimnis und die Gothic-Szene. Die Aufloesung, so scheint es, kann nur in der katholischen Kirche selbst liegen.
Farben der Schuld ist der vierte Teil der Reihe um die Koelner Hauptkommissarin Judith Krieger. Trotzdem schafft es die Autorin Gisa Klönne durch gezielte Erklaerungen die Geschehnisse der Vorgaenger zu erlaeutern, so dass der Leser sofort einen Einstieg in das eBook findet. Geschickt werden verschiedene Spuren gelegt, so dass man als Leser immer das Beduerfnis hat, das sehr fluessig geschriebene eBook weiterzulesen, so dass das Buch nicht nur fuer Fans der Autorin geeignet ist. Einziges Manko fuer die nicht ganz eingefleischten Fans der Krimireihe koennten die teilweise doch sehr ausfuehrlichen Erlaeuterungen ueber das Privatleben der Protagonisten sein, die den Fluss der Kriminalgeschichte, der eigentlichen Handlung, manchmal etwas bremsen. Zusammengefasst laesst sich sagen, dass Gisa Klönne mit Farben der Schuld einen sehr soliden Krimi geschrieben hat, bei dem der Handlungsverlauf und die letztliche Aufloesung schluessig und fuer den Leser gut nachvollziehbar sind.
Neben dem gedruckten Buch und der Ausgabe als eBook im ePub-Format ist Farben der Schuld auch als Hoerbuch erschienen.
